The overarching goal of this project is to replace the existing school buildings in a phased approach resulting in an improved and modern learning environment. Phase 1 of the project will address the following established priorities for the replacement initiative. Improve building conditions in new spaces, by building a new central plant and modernizing the HVAC system, using sustainable solutions. Building a new cafeteria for increased capacity, replace restrooms and add gender-inclusive restrooms to provide greater student safety in new construction spaces, and construction of new classrooms spaces.

The master plan improvements to the Interlake High School campus will expand and improve CTE, general education, special education, science, athletic, music, and theater facilities to improve equity, support up to 1,800 students, and enhance current and future curriculum. The phased construction will integrate significant additions and modernizations into the existing fabric of the campus to create a unified experience.
