As Project Manager, Cindy Black serves as the key contact for the duration of a project. She actively leads the design team through all phases of a project, (from programming to closeout), provides consultant coordination, leads the construction administration effort, and is involved in projects from start to finish. Cindy was selected for the design team not only because of her previous school district experience, but also because of her experience working with contractors. This background gives her insight into the problems confronting contractors in the field, and allows her to provide the documentation needed to facilitate the construction process.
Cindy combines strong design abilities with an understanding of how buildings must fit together and meet a budget. She is honest, enthusiastic, and willing to take charge of a situation and perform the duties necessary to accomplish the task, including programming, code analysis, and construction administration.
Charged with leading the production team, Cindy was selected for her knowledge of construction practices and her excellent skills in producing well-detailed construction documents on CADD. She is responsible for the day-to-day production of all contract drawings, coordination with specifications, and consultant drawings. During the construction administration phase, Cindy assists the project manager with drawing review and coordination, following through with a complete set of as-built documents.
