Twin Falls Middle School
New Construction The new Twin Falls Middle School is shaped to create three academic wings, called the South, Middle, and North Forks. Each wing is designed to be a self-contained 'Small School,' able to serve nearly all of the instructional functions of the entire grade level. The focus of the building interior is the commons, at which all wings of the building converge. The commons serves as the school's grand entry hall, community center, cafeteria, auditorium, and generally as the 'living room' of the school. The gymnasium is prominently placed to encourage access by the public for special events. The library is given a special position at the quieter, back area of the school. Here, tall walls of glass at the reading area offer an unobstructed view of the wooded slopes and rocky precipice of Mount Si.
