Grove Elementary SchoolNew Construction This new prototype elementary school was designed for the Marysville School District and opened its doors in 2008. The design is a highly efficient plan that conforms to the Districts Educational Specifications and may be replicated at their Cascade and Liberty school sites. The combination of conventional and portable construction allows the facility size to meet fluctuating student enrolment. The portable construction is seamlessly integrated into the end of each building wing with the appearance of conventional construction, but with added flexibility. Many sustainable features are prominent throughout the building, including abundant daylighting and energy conservation elements that account for over $35,000 in rebates from local utilities. Grove Elementary also received a special grant from OSPI as a volunteer project, complying with the High Performance School building program.
